7 dead-simple posts to build followers
and 2 more that generate huge value
I hope you're as excited about implementing this as I was.
There are a handful of posts you can use to speed up audience growth. Most are:
Easy to write
Can be used multiple times each month
Will net you 2-5x the followers vs other posts
And I'll show them all to you.
It's CreatorBoost, the newsletter that teaches you systems to for high-performance writing and smart audience growth.
Today's read is exactly 5 minutes according to the internet. Nice!
πΈ Types of follower-building posts
These are specific types of posts that drive a disproportionate amount followers. (I pulled the numbers.)
In the last month, I used #8 to gain over 1,000 followers from just that thread, and another 1,000 across a handful of single tweets from the other types here.
Total time invested: Less than 2 hours to write all of that.
But most people don't use these follower-builders for some reason.
They either aren't aware of these post types and their insane value, or they're too self-conscious to post them.
Hopefully my examples will cure you of both ailments and get you on the road to hyper-growth.
Here are the post types:
1. Hitting a milestone
We've all seen this before, and it works really well for good reason.
Celebrating a milestone creates desire through FOMO because it shows others are interested in following you. That makes the viewer wonder whether they're missing out if they don't join in.
Milestone! π
33,333+ followers.
The last 4.5 months have been the wildest, most humbling, most impactful journey of my life.
Thank you all for your faith and support, and here's to the next third of 100k and what fantastic things await.

2. Humble (or not-so-humble) brag
You might cringe at the idea, but if you can get past that, a humble brag about how awesome you are at social media will usually bring in a swarm of new attention.
Make sure the vibe is aligned with your personal brand.
So basically, when something good happens, talk about it.
When you get all excited because a big brand retweets you,
and then realize you have 50x as many engaged followers as they do.

3. Testimonial drop
Usually done in the form of a thank you (which is genuine), posting screenshots of messages is a way to show potential followers how you make an impact on people's lives.
Well, potential follower, would you like that impact on your life too?
Better follow.
Such a kickass DM. Thanks to everyone who sends messages like these.

4. Confidence drop
Similar to a humble brag, in this variation, you talk about how you're unconcerned with competition or why you can't be beaten.
Or why you're going to grow super fast.
Or your content is going to blow up.
Or your upcoming banger thread, etc.
More FOMO. More curiosity. More follows.
The stronger my personal brand gets, the more confident I am about giving away my best knowledge.
βBecause I doubt anyone can copy my insights, stories, and ideas so well they can beat me with them.
This sets up a chain reaction
Authenticity > Generosity > Confidence > Success

5. Flash the cash
Sad but true, this one.
People want to follow you when you show how much money you're making. They want some of the bills to rub off on them.
A story format works well even. Show how you started with less, then transformed into having more.
4 years ago I was making 5 figures writing spicy romance novels as a side hustle.
Today I'm making 5 figures a month teaching business writing and audience building.
Best part?
Not having to hide behind any pen names.

6. Thread value in a tweet-sized package
Some single tweets have as much value as the summary tweet in a thread.
Focus on one your audience's core problems (in this case, "what do I write about?" is a major issue for many creators) and speak directly to them with a solution.
This one maybe isn't as easy as the others on its own, but you can repurpose your threads into single tweets to be posted 3-6 weeks after and people will love you for it.
Figuring out what to write about isn't as hard as you might think.
Your audience:
β’ Fears
β’ Questions
β’ AspirationsYour info diet:
β’ Tweets
β’ Newsletters
β’ YouTube videosYour mind:
β’ Walks
β’ Journaling
β’ What you did this weekInspiration is everywhere.

7. Follow-All-These-People (Including me)
Package up a lot of great accounts to follow and include yourself in the list.
Sounds easy, right?
A lot of people make a big mistake here, though. They don't sell the value of following the accounts.
Sometimes you want to go for fewer accounts and give a description of each one and what they provide.
Sometimes you go for a bigger list hoping it gains extra momentum from all the @-mentions.
The thread below was not only one of my highest threads for the month by impressions, but it also led to an insane 500+ follows directly from the post, and another 1,000+ profile visits (which was probably another ~500 follows.)
Took a while to put together, and you can't do it too often, but this is a quick hack to share audiences with a bunch of other people.
In the last 5 months, I've bookmarked over 1,000 tweets.
Some people are legit π₯.

8. What you get from following me
I almost forgot the easiest one of all.
You want to remind people what you tweet about.
(Many followed you on impulse in that last epic thread of 60 accounts to follow, after all.)
Write this once. Then you can cut and paste the same text every time, only tweaking it if your personal brand and topics have evolved.
Have a post like this scheduled 1-2 days after your most viral tweet every 2 weeks or so.
With 5 direct subs and 270 profile views, this little 60-second cut-and-paste job probably earned me 100+ new followers the last time I posted it.
What you get when you follow me:
Original, authentic insights

...from a guy who hit 30k in 100 daysMental mastery
...make your brain work betterAll delivered in a

9. The newsletter promo
I realized something as I was hyping this edition of the newsletter up. I also get a disproportional number of account follows per impression by promoting a high-value email.
Having a newsletter full of juicy topics tells potential followers that you're a force of knowledge and someone worth paying attention to.
If they think about subscribing to your email, they'll probably follow you too if they aren't already.

Those are 9 follower-building tweets to schedule multiple times every month.
A 30-day posting schedule for each month could have 2-3 of each type, spread out a few days apart.
So put them to use:
Milestone
Brag
Testimonial
Confidence
Cash-flash
Thread-value-in-a-tweet
Follow all these people
What you get from following me

If you want to grow, your action step from this newsletter is to add 2-4 of these into your schedule the next time you're batch creating tweets.
Audience -> Influence -> Income
Grow your audience -> Grow your influence -> Grow your income.
That's the equation for creators and agencies to boost revenues using their social following as a lever.
Audience is both the starting point and the multiplier.
Based on my own insane audience growth, I've created a 4-step system to make it easier so you can:
Nail your niche
Find your crew
Systematize how you post and engage
Twitter's algorithm, crowd dynamics on Twitter, and human psychology put most people at a disadvantage for growth. I'll show you how to flip those factors on their head, so even if you don't have tons of experience, you can still win the Twitter game.
As part of my system, you'll get growth roadmap with actions tailored to your growth stage. What to do at:
0+ followers
100+ followers
1,000+ followers
10,000+ followers
β¦and step-by-step instructions (with live help over 3 weeks) to get you to the next level.
What's awesome is when you're around 10,000 and your account is growing on its own. Your effort stops being about whether youβll grow, but how fast.
So let's get you to 10k without buying any retweets or using any clickbait.
